Adult Education goals at extending educational choices to those adults, who’ve misplaced the opportunity and have crossed the age of formal education, but now really feel a necessity for learning of any type, including literacy, primary training, ability improvement (Vocational Education) and equivalency. With the target of promoting adult schooling, a collection of programmes have been introduced because the First Five 12 months Plan, the most outstanding being the National Literacy Mission (NLM), that was launched in 1988 to impart useful literacy to non-literates within the age group of 15-35 years in a time sure method.
